Popular Nigerian actress, Lala Akindoju, had a lot to be grateful for as she recently clocked a new age on March 8.

The movie star took to her Instagram page to share a beautiful photo specially taken for the occasion.

The mother of one donned a white high collar gown with subtle makeup, well-laid hair, and jewellery to match.

Lala in her caption reminisced on her last birthday and how everything became abnormal after that because of the pandemic.

She however expressed gratitude to God for coming through regardless of how difficult it has been.

Excerpt from her post read:

"My birthday last year was the last time things seemed “normal” ...and what a year it has been...many ups and many downs, losses, deaths but somehow we are still here with many things to be grateful for. My mouth is filled with laughter and my tongue is filled with songs of joy and gratitude. For love, life, family, friends, a career that’s growing, and a support system that’s solid. I know that if it was not for the Lord that was on my side."
