However, speaking on the Premier League show, analysts Townsend and Heskey still doubted Iheanacho's competence at the top level of the game for Leicester.

Former Southampton and Irish legend Townsend said in the post-match analysis on the Premier League TV show:

"With all due respect to Iheanacho, I have never seen him as the kind of top quality player for Leicester City if they are to win the Premier League.
"Though he scored brilliant goals in his last two games but he is yet to prove he is up there."

Ex-Leicester City striker Heskey also commented:

"If Harvey Barnes or James Madison were not injured Iheanacho will not have a first team chance."

Iheanacho has made just seven starts out of 15 Premier League matches so far this season but as scored seven goals in all competitions.
