Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez has explained clearly that the lack of trust Arsenal did not have in him at the Emirates stadium made him to leave the North London club.

The Argentine goalie joined Arsenal in 2010 when he was 17 years under former coach Arsene Wenger who allowed him to start his career with the club at the youth team.

According to the report on GOAL, Emiliano Martínez explained that he had no other choice than to leave the Emirates stadium since the Gunners never wanted to give him the chance.

"I love everything about Arsenal. I still love them and I'm still watching the games, but I just felt like they didn't trust me like they should have.
"That's the reality because they kept buying goalkeepers to go in front of me and I was the goalkeeper from the academy.
"When I was on a high, I still felt like they didn't deserve me because of the way they were treating me. They couldn't guarantee me the games I needed so I thought that if they couldn't guarantee me the games I needed, then I'm moving on.''

Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently occupying 10th position on the Premier League table while Martinez and his teammates at Aston Villa occupy ninth.
