Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed happiness for him to have scored the goal which gave his side Leicester City the point in their League game against Burnley on Wednesday night, March 3.

Rodgers and his wards went into this game against Burnley with the aim of redeeming themselves having suffered defeats to Slavia Prague and Arsenal in their last two fixtures.

However, they conceded the first goal in this tie through Matej Vydra who beat Kasper Schmeichel nicely to give the hosts the lead.

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi produced the assist which gave Kelechi Iheanacho his goal in the 30th minute of the Premier League encounter.

According to the report on GOAL, Kelechi Iheanacho explained that it was a tough game for them adding that his side should have won the Premier League battle.

“It wasn't a bad game and I think it was a tough game for us and Burnley, they gave us a bit of heat, but we'll take a point.

“It was a slow start from us, but after that goal, we got the momentum, got the rhythm, got them running and got the equaliser. We are together as a group and as a team.

“We're talking about the little run from Jamie Vardy and the pass from Ndidi - that was the goal for me. So, it was a great goal.''

Ndidi who completed five tackles in the game provided the assist for Harvey's third goal that put the lead beyond the reach of the Premier League champions.
