Super Eagles legends recently had a glorious reunion at the Government House in Lokoja when they visited Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state who was happy to see the former internationals.

The former Super Eagles stars who visited Governor Yahaya Bello are Austin Okocha, Victor Ikpeba, Tijani Babangida, Ifeanyi Udeze, Taribo West and Augustine Eguavoen.

These Super Eagles legends were great players during their active playing days as the likes of Okocha and Ikpeba need no introduction to football followers considering what they did on the pitch.

Governor Yahaya Bello was in joyous mood to welcome these former internationals and he decided to show them his little football skills.

The 45-year-old who was known as a good footballer during his days in the University jogged the ball in brilliant style in the presence of his visitors.

Okocha, Ikpeba and others were happy with Yahaya Bello's skill and gave him round of applause.

Augustine Owen Eguavoen is a former professional footballer and was most recently manager of Nigeria national under-23 football team and the former manager of the Nigerian national football team.

During his varied days, Eguavoen began his career with ACB Lagos in his native Nigeria and some impressive performances gained him a move to Gent in 1986.

He went on to play for K.V. Kortrijk, CD Ourense, Sacramento Scorpions, Torpedo Moscow and finished his career in Malta with Sliema Wanderers.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Odion Ighalo explained that he has been approached by the coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr over the possibility of him making a return to the national team.

But the former Manchester United star made it clear that he is still thinking about the situation and will soon come out with his position on the development.

The issues actually started after the Super Eagles crashed out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia in which Odion Ighalo failed to impress at the tournament.

Ighalo however shined at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt where he finished as the highest goalscorer for the Super Eagles who came third in the championship.

And after the 2019 African Cup of Nations, Odion Ighalo announced his retirement from national team claiming that he made the decision due to personal reasons.
