Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first man to score at least 20 goals in Europe's top five leagues in the past 12 seasons.

The Portuguese striker found the back of the net in the 89th minute against Spezia as Juventus continue their quest to winning the Serie A title.

He marked his 600th league appearance with his 20th Serie A goal of the season as Juventus beat Spezia 3-0 on Tuesday to move within three points of second-placed AC Milan.

The Portuguese guided in his side's third goal late on after Alvaro Morata and Federico Chiesa struck earlier in the second half to put Andrea Pirlo's side in a commanding position.

Ronaldo, who also hit the post with an effort in the first half, becomes the first player to score at least 20 goals in each of the last 12 seasons in Europe's top five leagues.

The win leaves Juve third with 49 points from 24 games behind Milan on 52 and leaders Inter with 56, both of whom are in action this week against Udinese and Parma respectively.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has has been likened to basketball legend Michael Jordan as he is rated the best forward of all-time by fellow Portuguese and Hellas Verona Miguel Veloso.

According to a report on Goal, Veloso believes there would never be another striker like Ronaldo despite the rise of emerging talents like Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

Speaking before Juventus 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona, Veloso said: “I have no doubt that Cristiano is the best forward of all time, there won't ever be another like him.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nelson Semedo practically has no words to describe Lionel Messi's ingenuity on the pitch.

The Portuguese spent three seasons playing along with the six-time Ballon d'Or winner at Camp Nou before exiting for Wolves in 2020.

However, Nelson Semedo claims he never caught the Argentine superstar practicing free-kicks, saying it comes to him naturally.

The 27-year-old was on the pitch when the 33-year-old struck a memorable one in front of the English fans against Liverpool in 2019 and he has since then gone ahead to score more - overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s club free-kick tally earlier this year.
