And the German gaffer bluntly admitted that the 23-year-old is struggling to hit top form at the moment.

The Englishman was subbed off in their last two Premier League matches against Southampton and Newcastle United.

And several topflight teams and across Europe including the Hammers are closely monitoring the situation.

West Ham are currently without a natural striker after selling Sebastian Haller to Ajax in the summer and Mikhail Antonio is also nursing recurring injury problems this season.

Abraham who signed a new two-year deal with the Blues last season has scored six league goals in 20 appearances has been tipped to be a good replacement for Haller at the London Stadium.

The only goal he has scored under Tuchel was the match-winner during the 5th round FA Cup fixture against Barnsley at the end of January.

And Tuchel has insisted that Abraham must do more to earn his place back in Chelsea's starting XI.

"At the moment he is only struggling with my decision, because we have a strong squad. It’s the way it is.

"Tammy has to do exactly what he does, train well, be in a good mood and accept he is a striker for Chelsea so the competition is at the highest level in Europe."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Thomas Tuchel continued his unbeaten run since he took over as Chelsea manager towards the end of January.

Though the Blues were held to a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge by Man United, Tuchel is yet to concede a goal on his new home ground.

The Greman gaffer is now the second manager in Premier League history that is yet to concede in four home matches.
