vVerona- Verona vs Juventus ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw for the defending champions

Antonin Barrak canceled out Cristiano Ronaldo's goals Juventus were forced to 1-1 draw by Verona in a tough Serie A encounter.

Ronaldo scored his 19th league goal of the season in the early minutes of the second half but Juve's joy were short-lived as Verona struck back through their substitute Barrak.

The first half did not produce any goal by Wojciech Szczesny made a significant stop from Marco Davide Faraoni to keep the scoreline goalless at the break.

Juventus resumed the second half the stronger side and took the lead in the opening three minutes of the period.

Aaron Ramsey's pass found space through Verona's defence to Federico Chiesa who laid down a pass for Ronaldo as the Portuguese side-footed home his effort to make it 1-0.

Verona pushed for an equalizer and they were rewarded in the 78th minute as Barak headed home a Darko Lazovic's cross to make it 1-1.

The home side nearly went into the lead in the 85th minute as Lazovic's bullet of a shot was tipped over by Wojciech Szczesny.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw as Juventus slipped further from Inter Milan who are currently leading on the log with seven points.

Meanwhile, legit.ng had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo left his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United in 2003 after dazzling the Premier League in a pre-season friendly, Sport Bible.
