Diego Maradona’s iconic 1992 Porsche has reportedly been auctioned for £170k which is around N90.2 million few months after the death of the Argentine football legend.

The former Napoli star was reported to have suffered heart attack in his house in Argentina before he later passed on which thrown football fraternities in the world into serious mourning.

According to the report on UK Sun, the Porsche that is up for sale was the one Diego Maradona was caught speeding in during infamous Sevilla spell.

Diego Maradona received the super car in November 1992 which was two months after joining Sevilla even though he was later banned for 15 months.

In his international career with Argentina, he earned 91 caps and scored 34 goals.

Maradona played in four FIFA World Cups, including the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, where he captained Argentina and led them to victory over West Germany in the final, and won the Golden Ball as the tournament's best player.

In the 1986 World Cup quarter final, he scored both goals in a 2–1 victory over England that entered football history for two different reasons.

The first goal was an unpenalized handling foul known as the "Hand of God" while the second goal followed a 66 yd dribble past five England players.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how latest reports have it that £5million (about N2.5billion) was found in the bank accounts of late Diego Maradona which he left for his children.

It was gathered that Maradona had told his close friends before he died that he had around £75m (about N37.5billion).

Varying figures of what he left behind has emerged on several occasions, but acing lawyer to his youngest son Diego Fernando admitted the former footballer’s fortune as he laid bare the former footballer’s problem financial situation.

Investigations into the unfortunate death of the legend is beginning to take shape as two nurses and a psychologist were allegedly part of the plot.
