The German-born tactician during his pre-match conference ahead of the crucial clash against the Red Devils told the club website that the former PSG star worked out on the pitch on Friday. February 26.

"He did an individual session today, on the pitch, and felt it was big progress. It’s a big step ahead for him, so I hope he will join the group next week."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the other hand will be without his influential midfielder Paul Pogba who suffered a relapse while recovery from a thigh setback.

The French World Cup winner has also been out of action since February 6 after limping off the pitch during Everton's 3-3 draw at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, both teams will be aiming for maximum points in a bid to better their standings on the EPL table as they hope to finish strong at the end of the season.

United head into the game second on the log with 49 points - six points better than Chelsea who appear to have gotten their groove back since the arrival of Tuchel late last month.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Bruno Fernandes could be demoralising Manchester United teammates with his 'perfectionist' attitude.

The midfielder joined the Red Devils in January 2020 from Sporting Lisbon and became an instant success at Old Trafford - helping them finish third last season in spite of their poor start.

He has scored 34 goals and 21 assists in 59 appearances across competitions - a performance that has won him four Premier League player of the month awards.
