President Muhammadu Buhari's special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, has denied viral claims that he once suffered from a stroke.

Adesina explained that the online photo which stirred the fake report was taken when he met the former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, at an airport in Abia, Punch reports

The presidential media aide said that the photo taken by Fani-Kayode's assistant looked awkward because of the angle from which it was shot, making his arm appear twisted and his clothes baggy.

His words:

“The camera angle was a bit awkward. My clothe seemed too baggy than it was, and my hand appeared twisted in the seemingly oversized sleeves.
“And what next? Some people subjected my arm and legs to photoshop, twisting them further, making me appear as a stroke patient. Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."

According to him, he had a good laugh over the matter.

“I laughed till my ribs ached, and I put my two feet up in the air. They were having a baleful ball, while I was having the time of my life. Life and health belong to God. And He has not denied me of that grace.

Meanwhile, Adesina had stated that only God can help Nigeria defeat its challenges on security.

The media aide made this known on Thursday, January 14, in a piece "The Decent for the Indecent, the Just for the Unjust", asking Nigerians if they ever prayed for the troops at the frontline of the war against insurgency.
