Reigning Premier League champions Liverpool are now on the verge of losing their captain Jordan Henderson for 12 weeks following his injury in his side's defeat against Everton.

Liverpool gaffer Jurgen Klopp is patiently waiting for him to know if the 30-year-old England international would need a surgery or not.

According to the report on UK Sun, the Englishman had a scan on Monday, February 22, and he will know his fate later on Wednesday as tension arises at Anfield.

Already, Liverpool have been hit with a big blow this season with some of their first team players injured which has affected their performance this term.

The report added that there are concerns already at Anfield over the possibility of Jordan Henderson needing a surgery which would rule him out for 12 weeks.

Should that happen, then it means Jordan Henderson will only be resuming full training at the end of May in what will be a big blow for Jurgen Klopp this term.

This latest development may also affect Jordan Henderson being picked for England's final squad for the EURO 2022 championship which will start in June.

On the other hand, should a surgery not be needed, Jordan Henderson would still be out of action for Liverpool for at least six games.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Liverpool are planning to offer Sevilla player including cash in exchange for Lucas Ocampos in the summer.

The Reds have suffered four consecutive Premier League defeat - the following year after winning the title for the first time in over three decades, the first time they have done so in over 60 years.

However, Jurgen Klopp is already planning to fortify his squad for the coming season with a move for the Argentina international.

The Merseyside outfit may not be able to pay for his outright value, hence, they will add Japanese international Takumi Minamino in a deal to land the 26-year-old.
