Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has been named as the best Brazilian player by Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku who gave his response to a fan during question and answer session on Twitter.

On a serious note, Neymar is one of the best forwards in the world considering his performances so far since he started his football career in his country, Brazil.

Over the years, Brazil as a nation has produced lots of players who have made names in the game of football with their brilliant performances.

Pele remains the Brazilian highest goalscorer in history in the national team as he scored 77 goals in 92 games for the former world champions.

Ronaldo Delima is another Brazilian footballer who recorded his name in gold while playing football winning the World Cup title twice with Brazil.

The likes of Casemiro, Marcelo, Kaka, Cafu, Dida, Carlos and Ronaldinho are also great Brazilian footballers who have stunning records.

However, Romelu Lukaku thinks former Barcelona forward Neymar is the best Brazilian footballer.

With 64 goals in 103 matches for Brazil since debuting at age 18, Neymar is the second highest goalscorer for his national team, trailing only Pele.

He was a key player in Brazil's victories at the 2011 South American Youth Championship, where he finished as leading goalscorer,

Neymar came into prominence at Santos where he made his professional debut aged 17 and helped the club win two successive Campeonato Paulista championships.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Paris Saint Germain could be without their sensational winger Neymar when they host Barcelona at the Parc Des Princes in the second leg of their rounds of 16 clash next month.

The Brazilian angrily slammed the referee's decision to award the Catalans a penalty after Layvin Kurzawa was said to have tripped Frenkie De Jong earlier in the game.

Lionel Messi stepped up to convert the spot-kick which gave the Catalans the lead in the 27th minute and the 29-year-old posted a comment on Twitter saying 'joke that penalty'.

Kylian Mbappe eventually stole the show after scoring three times as the visitors ran off with a 4-1 win in the first leg of their meetings this campaign.
