President Muhammadu Buhari's outgoing Aide-De-Camp, Colonel Mohammed Abubakar, invited his family to Aso Villa on Tuesday, February 23, as he prepares to bow out officially and hand over to his successor.

The outgoing ADC had planned to present an appreciation letter to President Buhari as he handed over his role to a successor.

However, Abubakar's young daughter was the highlight of the event as she demonstrated uncommon confidence in her bid to meet with President Buhari.

According to Bayo Omoboriowo, the president's photographer, the former ADC opened the door to President Buhari's office to inform him that his family had arrived.

However, his daughter who was excited to meet the president made to run in with him but was told to wait behind.

To her amazement, President Buhari who had heard her voice went to the door to meet her instead of inviting her in.

The young girl couldn’t hold her excitement throughout the event and all she did was stare and dance while the presentation lasted, Oboriowo narrated.

She then saluted the president after her dad was done with the presentation of his appreciation letter.

Abubakar is also the second longest-serving ADC in the history of the Armed Forces of Nigeria after late Colonel Walbe who served General Yakubu Gowon for nine years.

Abubakar is leaving the position since his appointment by the president in May 2015 when Buhari was elected president.
