Sad day as 200 level student in Abia state University slumps and dies during a football match

The Abia State University are still in shock after a 200 level Medical Laboratory Science student named Ibeabuchi Marshal lost his life while playing a football match.

The school was organizing its annual inter-departmental football match which brings together students under one faculty.

But it was a sad tale as Marshall who is understood to be the only son of his parents slumped and died on Monday, February 22, 2020.

Reports claim the young lad was quickly rushed to the school's medical facility but he gave up the ghost in the process.

A source quoted by Instablog claims:

“Immediately he slumped, he was rushed to the school medicals but they couldn’t even attend to him. They behaved like they didn’t even care and literally watched him give up the ghost."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was stretchered-off the pitch in the closing stages of Napoli’s 4-2 loss to Italian rivals Atalanta on Sunday evening, February 21.

The Nigerian youngster was immediately rushed to the hospital following the incident after he collided with centre-back Cristian Romero during the encounter.

Osimhen who joined Napoli during the summer has seen his debut season with the Italian giants marred by suspension, coronavirus-related problems and injuries.

Legit.ng also reported that there were no casualties as the team bus of Nigerian professional football team Kwara United gut fire along the Onitsha-Asaba expressway on Monday morning, February 22.

The incident occurred as the crew were returning to their base in Ilorin after prosecuting their Match Day 11 in Enugu where they lost 1-0 to Rangers on Sunday, February 21.

Players and coaching staff reportedly scrambled out of the vehicle after they discovered fired coming out from underneath the bus.
