Ghanaian football fraternities have been thrown into deep mourning following the untimely death of young 15-year-old footballer Linus Issahaku who died after sustaining a head injury.

According to the information released by respected Sports Reporter Saddick Adams, he claimed that the deceased suffered a head injury while playing for second division side Catholic Stars FC.

Adams added that the player was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention and all efforts to save him were futile as he eventually died.

Doctors at the Tamale Hospital explained that he suffered a cerebral haemorrhage following a clash with an opponent in the match played at Walewale.

In the photo posted, the deceased can be seen wearing a Barcelona shirt which is an indication that he was supporting the Spanish giants when he was alive.

There are many African youngsters who are supporting Barcelona because of Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.

Lionel Messi is no doubt one of the best footballers on earth considering his performances for Barcelona and the trophies the Argentine has won.

The Catalans are currently occupying third position on the Spanish La Liga table with 46 points after 22 games played this term.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Argentine football legend Pablo Zabaleta urged his fellow countryman Lionel Messi to make a move to Premier League leaders Manchester City from Spanish side Barcelona.

The future of Lionel Messi at Barcelona has been the talking point among the club's chiefs with his current deal expiring at the end of the ongoing League season in Europe.

Before the start of the current campaign, Lionel Messi wanted to leave Barcelona and handed a transfer request to the club's chiefs.

Messi was not happy with how Barcelona were bundled out of the Champions League in an embarrassing fashion by Bayern Munich and also the side's failure to win any title.

However, he later changed his mind to continue playing for the Catalans although he is still being linked with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
