2023: Lagos speaker Obasa urges Nigerians to vote for Tinubu, says ex-governor will deliver

Mudashiru Obasa, the speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, has said that anyone who succeeds in meeting expectations as a governor of Lagos state can preside over Nigeria successfully.

The Punch reports that Obasa, who is one of those championing mobilisation in support of the presidential ambition of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, made this known on Thursday, February 18.

Legit.ng gathered that the speaker urged Nigerians to support Tinubu's ambition in 2023 for the greater Nigeria.

He said:

“Let us support our own and be vocal with it; let us support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We will continue to support our leader and we must continue to support our governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu because we have no doubt that he will continue to deliver."

The speaker also called on the government at all levels to consider prioritising education in the country.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Senator Rasidi Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo state, is set to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2023 general elections.

It was reported that Ladoja and his supporters in Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) on Friday, February 12, initiated merger talks with the APC.

The meeting, which was held at the Premier Hotel, Mokla, Ibadan, was reportedly approved by Ladoja.
