The Super Falcons of Nigeria began their four-nation tournament in Turkey on a winning note following the 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow in their first game, Twitter.
Chiwendu Ihezuo who plays in the Chinese Super League with Henan Huishang scored the only goal of the match.
Francisca Ordega broke loose down the right and delivered a low cross to arriving Ihezuo who scored at the near post.
It is a positive start for newly-appointed boss Randy Waldrum who recorded a win in his first game as technical adviser of the women's national team.
The former Trinidad and Tobago boss handed Toni Payne who played her under-age football with the United States her debut with Nigeria at topflight level.
