Wife kills husband over telephone call to another woman

- A woman is currently in police custody over the death of her husband

An enraged woman has reportedly sent her husband to an early grave. The woman, Queen Beatrice, allegedly killed Emmanuel Ikujuni at Omotosho town, Okitipupa local government area of Ondo state.

The incident has also been confirmed by the Ondo state police command who said the woman in question has been arrested.

According to The Punch, the suspect allegedly hit the deceased head with a plank following an argument.

She was said to have accused her husband of calling another woman on phone in her presence.

After the deceased was hit with the plank, he reportedly collapsed. His neighbours rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Speaking on his brother's death, the deceased’s sister, Imoleayo Ikujuni said:

“During the fight, she hit him with a plank and he died. The police have arrested her and the matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Akure, for further investigation.”

The state police spokesman, Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the incident, adding that investigation was ongoing.

According to the report, the corpse had been deposited in a morgue for an autopsy.

In another report, Legit.ng had reported that a Lagos resident named David Idibie beat his wife, Juliana Idibie, to death.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Lagos state police command.

According to the statement signed and released by the command's spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Wednesday, February 17, the incident happened on the night of Tuesday, February 16.

Legit.ng gathers that the deceased had engaged the suspect in a hot argument on certain matrimonial issues and in the process, she slumped and sustained a severe head injury.
