"Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given me so much courage. I've believed in him since day one. I'm so proud and happy at how things are going right now."

Ryan, unlike many United fans, believes the Norwegian is the man to bring success back to Old Trafford, many years after Sir Alex Ferguson left the Red Devils’ dugout.

Weeks later and Solskjaer responded to Ryan, who read out the letter sent to him by the United boss on Talksport. He wrote:

"Dear Ryan, just wanted to drop you a line to say I am so glad you are doing well.
"It's heartwarming to hear that Manchester United and Andy's Man Club have kept you going through difficult times.
"We are living in strange times at the moment and we know it's difficult for a lot of people. However, I was delighted to hear you now have a spring in your step.

"Take care, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer."

It was quite the nice touch from the United boss, who has partly restored some smiles among the Manchester United faithful in recent weeks.

Aside from city rivals Manchester City, no team has accured more points than the Red Devils in the 2020/2021 campaign after 23 games.

In the process of climbing to second place, Solskjaer has somehow managed to get United back into talk of being title contenders.
