39 suspected yahoo boys arrested as EFCC raids hideouts in Osun, Ogun
- EFCC has arrested about 39 internet fraudsters in Osun and Ogun state
- Items recovered from them include seven cars, laptop computers among others

In another clean swoop, The Ibadan zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested more yahoo boys.
The anti-graft agency on Tuesday, February 9, arrested the 39 internet fraud suspects, in Osun and Ogun state respectively.
It said ten of them were arrested at Ilesha, Osun state, while Twenty-nine others were arrested in different locations at Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

Going further, the EFCC said they were arrested after series of surveillance based on intelligence on their alleged criminal activities.
Items recovered from them include seven cars, laptop computers, mobile phones, and several documents containing false presences.
They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that youths suspected to be internet fraudsters better known as "Yahoo boys" have stormed the Oke Omiru end of Osogbo-Ilesha road and barricaded the expressway in a demonstration against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to The Punch, the protesters began their demonstration on Tuesday morning, February 9, over alleged harassment by the operatives of the anti-graft agency.
Vehicular movements were hindered as the protesters threatened not to leave the streets until the government addressed the constant harassment of youths in the area by the EFCC.
Legit.ng also reported that in what many Nigerians will commend, EFCC on Friday, January 29, made some arrests.
They arrested 10 young men who were said to be undergoing training on internet crimes in an ‘Academy’ in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Tribune reports.
The alleged criminals who are said to be between 20 and 30 were reportedly arrested at their ‘Academy’ in Bwari axis of Abuja.
In other news, Gal Pissetzky and Vicki Podberesky the international lawyers representing suspected Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi, have applied to withdraw from the young man's case.
The United States lawyers said they took the decision because the Nigerian national stopped communicating with them and has hired new legal practitioners to take over his case.
