One of Nigeria’s all-time athletes, Blessing Okagbare, has been presented with the Guiness World Record as the athlete with the most Diamond League appearances (67).

The 32-year-old personally announced her entry into the Guinness Book of Records as one of the hallowed names there.

In her post on Wednesday morning on social media, Okagbare stated that she feels honoured and really grateful to have been a recipient of such prestigious award.

The track and field queen won a silver medal at the 2018 Beijing Olympic.

She also won silver and bronze in the long jump and 200-meter events respectively at the 2013 World Championships held in Moscow, Russia.

The record is for making the most appearances in the IAAF’s Diamond League Meetings.

Blessing Okagbare is one of Nigeria's most successful athletes but she could not replicate her success in her marriage.

The former world 200 meters champion recently divorced her husband Igho Otegheri who is a former Super Eagles player after six years.

It is understood that the union crashed due to laziness, infidelity and irreconcilable differences between both parties.

Nigerian men will gladly yield to the proposal of the Olympic bronze medallist who plainly stated that she wants a hardworking man.
