Media reports on Monday, February 8 indicate that a former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is on his way to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The reports became a trending topic after photos of the former minister and Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello surfaced on social media.
Subsequently, after the photos of Fani-Kayode and Bello, another photo of the duo with Governor Mai Bala Buni of Yobe state surfaced.

Buni is the current caretaker/extra-ordinary national convention planning committee of the ruling party.
Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media, has frowned at the reports.
He wrote on Twitter:
“If he decides to join the governing party, I don’t think he will be welcome by majority of the party members, who he made it a duty to attack and insult for several years.”
The special adviser on media to the Kano state governor, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, also expressed his disgust at the trending news.
He wrote:
“I honestly don't think I understand Nigeria's political space anymore. What it is this again dan Allah?”
Meanwhile, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state has declared that Nigerians will vote for the APC again in the 2023 general elections.
Governor Uzodinma made the comment during an interview with a television station on Wednesday, February 3.
In a related development, the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has declared that access should be given to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), willing to join the APC in the ongoing membership registration exercise of the ruling party.
Omo-Agege made the comment on Tuesday, February 2 in his country home in Orogun, Ughelli North local government area of Delta state.
According to him, the essence of the exercise is to rejuvenate the party in preparation for future elections hence the need to get more members into the APC fold.
