Trouble for Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid left with just 11 senior players for Spanish League clash vs Getafe

Real Madrid camp has been hit by a series of injuries ahead of their Spanish League fixture against Getafe at Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, February 9.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane was said to have named the 19-man squad for the fixture and only 11 senior outfield players are available for the clash.

And the Frenchman has called up a few other youngsters from the academy to make up the number of players needed.

Sergio Ramos, Fede Valverde and Eden Hazard are the big casualties but Zidane is also without Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez, Alvaro Odriozola, Eder Militao and Rodrygo Goes.

Toni Kroos is absent through suspension however, the rest of the players are all battling against injuries. but Zidane has insisted that it not enough excuse for negative results according to Daily Mail.

"There are no excuses, we know it's a difficult situation but we want to put in a great performance."

Victor Chust, alongside 19-year-old left-back Miguel Gutiérrez Ortega have been included in the team for Getafe clash. Chust has been impressive for the Castilla 'B' team.

A few other youngsters have been called into the senior team before the key players return to full fitness in a few weeks.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos could be out for about eight weeks after undergoing knee surgery to fix the issues in his left leg.

This means the 34-year-old will miss their Champions League rounds of 16 encounter against high-scoring Atalanta on February 24th and March 16th.

He will also miss a number of Spanish League fixtures which may include their derby against Atletico Madrid at Wandametropolitan Stadium on March 7.
