It is said that the journey of a thousand miles begin with a step. Kelvin, only a teenager, has made the thousand miles journey.

The young lad built a moving car with - with the aid of local materials - his bare hands and even drives it around town.

In a Facebook video by Drew Binsky, seen by Legit.ng, the teenager demonstrated the use of the car and how he came about its creation.

She said he would skip school just so he could have time to hone and work on his creations.

Kelvin who lives on the outskirts of Accra, Ghana said he bought the local materials for his car little by little.

When responding to question from his interviewer about the cost of making the vehicle he said:

"It cost a lot, right now i can't have its total because i have been buying it (the materials) small, small, small small."

He said it took him approximately three years to complete the ride.

"I did it myself but later my friends came to join me."

From the video, the car would pass for a lamborgini or any sleek car if it had the touch of standard machines and equipment used in building cars.

Kelvin's creation again reiterates that Africa has never been lacking in talents or people with brains.
