Scottish professional footballer Andrew Robertson who currently plays for reigning Premier League champions Liverpool has admitted that the Reds are not in the title race.

This stunning admission by the defender is coming hours after the English champions suffered a home defeat against Brighton on Wednesday night, February 3.

Steven Alzate's second half goal gave the visitors their first win over Liverpool in 39 years thereby pilling serious pressure on the Reds' boss, Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool have not been impressive this term in the Premier League and the Reds have even lost two games at home ahead of their big battle against Manchester City.

They are currently occupying fourth position on the Premier League table with 40 points and they are seven points behind Pep Guardiola's side.

According to the report on UK Sun, Robertson stated clearly that he and his teammates need to start getting good results going forward this term in the Premier League.

Since breaking into Liverpool's first team in 2017, Andrew Robertson has been able to score four goals.

“As this moment stands, we’re not in the title race. We are seven points behind them and they have a game in hand.''

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be facing Manchester City in their next Premier League game which will be another tough battle for Jurgen Klopp and his men.
