John Terry believes Manchester City are in good position to win EPL title

Chelsea legend John Terry has tipped Man City to beat rivals United and Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season.

City are currently sitting top on the charts with 44 points, on level with Man United but with two games in hand.

The Red Devils demolished Southampton 9-0 on Tuesday night, February 2, to go joint-top with City.

However, Pep Guardiola's men have a chance to restore a three-point lead atop should they post a favourable result when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday night, February 3.

And Terry, who is Aston Villa's assistant manager contends no one is going to stop the Etihad-based club from winning the domestic crown.

“I’ve said Man City from the start [for the title]. We [Aston Villa] played against them recently, and they are the kind of team that, no matter how you play, if they are on it, they can beat anyone in the league," Terry told talkSPORT.

“I think they are the best team, they have the best individuals, and when they are at it they are by far the best team," he added.

The former England defender reckons City are the best team by far his Villa side have faced this season and therefore have everything it takes to cart home the title.

City are currently on an eight-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League, with their last defeat coming in November 2020.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Chelsea legend Paul Canoville who won the second division title with the Blues in 1983/84 season is reported to be in critical condition in the hospital after emergency surgery.

Paul Canoville who was a winger during his active playing time in the Premier League is said to have suffered some complications after the surgery in the hospital.

Between the year 1981 and 1986, the Englishman played 79 games for the Stamford Bridge landlords and able to score 11 goals before he left.
