Tuchel was recently appointed new Blues boss, replacing club old boy Frank Lampard who was sacked after a torrid run of results.

Tuchel, who landed the Chelsea job just weeks after he was shown the door at Paris Saint-Germain was handed an 18-month deal at Stamford Bridge.

Mail Online reports the deal signed by the German tactician is highly incentivised and bears clauses stating ways he can keep his job at the club.

According to the publication, key among the incentives include a clause giving Tuchel to have his stay extended but only if he keeps the west London club in the European elite competition for the next two campaigns.

Reports on his regulated future with Chelsea come just days after the manager admitted he was initially not happy at being offered only an 18-month deal.

In fact, it is believed the former Borussia Dortmund boss was lukewarm about succeeding Lampard mid-season before he changed his mind.

"At first it was a concern, I was a little like, 'Oh, why 18 months?" Tuchel revealed.
"But after only one minute I thought, 'What does it change?' What does it change if they give me four and a half years? They could sack me anyway," he added.

Tuchel took over the reigns at Chelsea at a time the club were struggling for form especially in the domestic scene.

He has since helped the side climb to seventh on the standings after he picked four points from his two games he has been in charge.

He, however, faces an acid test on his credentials when his wards take on rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the London derby on Thursday, February 4.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Antonio Rudiger started two of Thomas Tuchel's matches as Chelsea manager and the team have kept two clean sheets so far.

And Rudiger's agent Saif Rubie has aimed a dig at Frank Lampard on Twitter who completely froze out the German defender for most parts of the new season.

The Blues played a 0-0 draw with Wolves and defeated Burnley 2-0 at Stamford Bridge with unlikely scorers including Ceasar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
