Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has admitted that he risks being fined having lamented the introduction of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) into the game of football.

Despite a comfortable 3-1 win over West Ham United in Sunday, January 31, the Egyptian did not mince words about his feelings over the controversial technology.

After the game, Salah who found the back of the net twice in the encounter stated that VAR is killing the game.

The Hammers managed to get a consolation through substitute Craig Dawson but it did not change the complexion of the result.

David Moyes'side maintained fifth position despite the loss while Liverpool climbed a step ahead of Leicester City as they moved to third.

It brought to an end a six-game goalless Premier League run for Salah - though he had the ball in the net against Tottenham last week before VAR ruled his strikeout.

He said via Sky Sports:

"I think before, I don't like VAR! From the beginning of the season, in my opinion it's killing the game; the joy of football.

"Here, you have to be in exactly the same line [with offside decisions]. But I think in the Champions League or some other countries, they give the striker more space to... if they score, it's fine for them.

"I don't want to complain about it, because I don't want to get fined. But my opinion about VAR? I don't like it."

Meanwhile, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is reportedly ready to leave Los Blancos to join Premier League giants Man United.

Kayky can play as a winger and an attacking midfielder - a quality that has seen him compared with Paris Saint Germain forward Neymar.

He has featured for his country's U16 team but yet to be included in Fluminense's first team.
