Spanish midfielder Isco appears to be tired with his bench-warming role at Real Madrid and will reportedly leave probably in the summer.

The 28-year-old played no part in Los Blancos 2-1 defeat to Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu despite being included in the squad for the game.

His last straw was when Zinedine Zidane's assistant David Bettoni chose to young Sergio Arribas into the game while the scoreline was still at 1-1 instead of Isco.

However, sources close to the former Valencia and Malaga attacker claims that he was very angry with the snub during the game.

Real's defeat to Levante last weekend has now pushed them to third position on the table with 10 solid points separating them from the log leaders Atletico Madrid.

According to SunSport, he was said to be very dissatisfied with the treatment meted out to him by his employers having started just two games so far this term - defeats to Valencia in LaLiga and third-tier Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey.

The 28-year-old was said to have openly fault Zidane's selection policy to chuckling team-mates a few months back, as Movistar microphones was said to have picked him up explaining:

"If he has to take me off, it's in the 50th or 60th minute of the game. Sometimes at half time. If he has to bring me on, it’s in the 80th minute."

Martin Odegaard's recent move to the Emirates Stadium was considered a chance for the midfielder to shine, but 19-year-old Arribas was the preferred choice on Saturday.

And the player might be plotting to force a move away from the Bernabeu on transfer deadline day to seek more playing time at a different club.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Real Madrid suffered yet another setback in their quest to retain the Spanish League title following their 2-1 defeat to Levante at the Alfredo Di Stefano.

Marco Asensio opened scoring for the hosts but a goal each from Jose Luis Morales and Roger helped the visitors come to a goal down and claim maximum points at the end of the meeting.
