Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo who just completed his loan deal at Manchester United has been offered a permamnent contract Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab.

UK outlet Sky Sports are reporting that such move will only materialize subject to him passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.

The 31-year-old Shanghai Shenhua star left Manchester United earlier in the week and he was due to immediately return to his Chinese side.

It was gathered that Shenhua have given him permission to speak to the Saudi Arabian side.

The transfer window in Saudi Arabia runs until February 7.

Ighalo, 31, scored five goals in 23 appearances across all competitions for United after arriving on Deadline Day last January, but made only two starts this season since Edinson Cavani joined in October.

He also wrote his name on the hall of fame at Old Trafford after becoming only the second player in the history of the club to score in each of his first four competitive starts for the Red Devils.

He confirmed his departure from Old Trafford in an emotional farewell message last Tuesday.

But, regardless of his limited playing time at the club, the former Super Eagles striker felt fulfilled to have been given the chance to represent the club.

The former Watford and Granada attacker is now taking time to rest before rejoining his Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.

Although, the Nigerian star might be signed by another club before the CSL kicks off May 11 bearing any unforeseen circumstances.

Ighalo has been linked with a number of top European outfits, but none of them seems to be serious just yet having failed to table any offer for the goal poacher.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru has joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on a short-term loan deal until the end of the ongoing season.

Sources claim the Istanbul-based outfit included an option to sign him permanently depending on his performances for the club.

His return to the Turk Telekom Stadium could be attributed to his success in 2018-19 season when he scored 14 goals and five assists in 31 league appearances for them.

The Super Eagles attacker joined Monaco from Premier League outfit Everton in a deal valued at around €13.5 million but has failed to impress Nico Kovac.
