Jose Mourinho has vented his frustrations at Thiago's challenge on Harry Kane during Tottenham's loss to Liverpool, Mirror.

The England striker will be out for a few weeks and it will come as a huge blow to Spurs' title challenge this season.

Thiago delivered a bad tackle to Kane after the referee ignored a call from the Spaniard who tried to dribble past Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg.

The former Bayern Munich star was shown a yellow card for his offense after sliding in on Kane's right ankle.

Kane managed to play with the discomfort but later injured his left-ankle before he was substituted for Erik Lamela at half-time.

This has brought a huge loss to Spurs as Mourinho gave an update on the 27-year-old's injury after the match.

He was quoted by Mirror:

"Two ankles, the first was a bad tackle, it was Thiago, the second one I didn't know well.
"But two injuries in both ankles, the second one worst than the first one - a few weeks, I don't know. There are some players you can't replace.
“For Harry to leave a game when he wants to play with the team losing, for Harry to come out means it is not a nothing injury.
“For how long I can’t tell you. I don’t know, we will have to wait and see.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Liverpool bounced back from a five-game winless streak to defeat Tottenham by 3-1 in a tough Premier League fixture.

Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane got their names on the scoresheet while Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg scored the only goal.

It was an incredible start of the game as Mane's one-two with Mohamed Salah saw him clear but could not hit the target in the opening minute of the game.
