Frank Lampard has been known to be a no-nonsense manager since he became manager of Chelsea in the summer of 2018.

Though the English boss was shown the door in the past few days, a photo of a framed listed fines was leaked online with Lampard's signature endorsing it, Mirror reports

Knowing fully well about the youthful squad, Lampard included fines for players who returned for pre-season late to not making it on time for treatment and many more.

All the fines totalled up to £53,500 and to make matters worse, any fine that was not paid within two weeks was doubled.

The highest among the fines is returning late to pre-season which attracts a massive £20,000 penalty which every player would want to avoid paying.

It is understood that the fines were for the 2019/20 campaign and a new list would have been drafted for the new season.

With Thomas Tuchel assuming office as the new manager, reports claim the German manager might bring in a new set of rules and fines.

The German boss said after being appointed:

"I would like to thank Chelsea FC for their confidence in me and my staff.
"We all have the greatest respect for Frank Lampard’s work and the legacy he created at Chelsea.
"At the same time, I cannot wait to meet my new team and compete in the most exciting league in football. I am grateful to now be part of the Chelsea family - it feels amazing!"

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that a number of Chelsea first-team players have taken time to send Frank Lampard a message of goodwill after his sacking.

Lampard's time as manager at Stamford Bridge came to an end earlier on Monday, January 25, barely 18 months after he was appointed to the role.

A poor run of results especially in the Premier League where the side lost five of their eight matches left the club's hierarchy with no option but to show the legendary midfielder the door.
