- The relationship between Sunday Igboho and Bola Tinubu is now out in the open

Following allegations that Sunday Igboho acted as a thug in the past and that he was persuaded by Bola Tinubu not to disrupt the election in Ekiti state, the Yoruba activist has now narrated how he met the APC national chairman.

He was quoted to have claimed that the only time he met Tinubu was during the build-up to a governorship election in Ondo involving a former governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko.

Punch Newspaper reports that he disclosed this in an Instagram Live Chat with popular journalist, Dele Momodu.

According to him, Rasheed Ladoja was the person who told him to meet the APC chieftain at his Bourdillon residence in Lagos.

He said on getting to his residence, Tinubu urged him not to support the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election because the party impeached Ladoja as governor of Oyo state in 2006.

Going further, he revealed that Tinubu gave him a sum of N2m to fuel his vehicle back to his base.

Igboho also insited that, it was the only time he met the APC leader.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that following the fire incident that razed the Soka house of the Yoruba activist, the Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, Aare Gani Adams, has asked the police to arrest of arsonists responsible for the wicked act.

Igboho's one-story building, located in Ibadan, the state capital, was gutted by fire around 3 am on Tuesday, January 26, damaging property that worth N50m.

Legit.ng gathered that while speaking on the incident, Aare Gani Adams, in a statement he issued on Tuesday, said failure to investigate the fire outbreak at Igboho’s house could heat up the polity.

Legit.ng had previously reported that Sunday Igboho said some Yoruba leaders were behind the heinous activities of violent herdsmen in the southwest.

It was reported that Igboho made the revelation on Tuesday, January 26, while speaking to journalists on his Soka house which was burnt by suspected arsonists.

The activist said the continued onslaught of the herdsmen in the southwest is because they (the herders) receive supports from some leaders in the region including monarchs and political elites.
