Frank Lampard may have managed his last game for Premier League club Chelsea as reports from England have it that the tactician will be fired on Monday, January 25.

UK outlet Daily Telegraph claims that the players of the club have been asked not to turn up for training as a huge decision is set to be made.

The report adds that former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is set to be appointed as Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will axe his tenth manager.

Blues currently six ninth on the Premier League standings and the club hierarchy are not impressed with the manager’s capacity.

Confidence in the team has visibly plummeted and the manager is heavily criticised over the situation at the club which dates back to their earlier loss to Manchester City.

Reports from the Stamford Bridge have it that Chelsea are desperately searching for an experienced manager following their poor run of form in the Premier League.

Confirmation could be as early as Monday following a poor run five losses in eight league games and reports from Germany say Thomas Tuchel is poised to replace him.

But Massimiliano Allegri has also been linked, with the Italian, keen on taking a job in the Premier League after learning English over the past two years.

Sunday's win over Luton Town to advance to the fifth round of the FA Cup hasn't proved enough to save the former midfielder from the chop.

Chelsea qualified into the 5th Round of the FA Cup after a hard-earned 3-1 victory over Luton Town at Stamford Bridge.

Tammy Abraham scored a hat-trick while Jordan Clark scored the only goal for the Championship club.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has defended embattled Nicolas Pepe and Willian after both players failed to inspire Gunners past the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Both players who have been in and out of the squad were introduced in the FA clash against Southampton at St. Mary’s, but they failed to impress.

And fans have continued to criticise forward pair for their performances in the loss, but Arteta has leapt to their defence.
