Fikayo Tomori has finally settled his future before the end of the January transfer window as he joined Serie A giants AC Milan.

The 23-year-old signed a six-month loan deal with an option to buy for £26million based on performances.

The England international has struggled to break into Frank Lampard's squad all season and has joined the Rossoneri to revive his international career.

He has even been dropped from the pecking order in Lampard's squad where Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva have moved ahead of him.

Tomori broke into Gareth Southgates' squad following his 22 appearances for the Blues in the first half of last season.

However, the Chelsea academy graduate has only managed to make four starts this season with his only Premier League appearance coming during the defeat to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Milan boss Pioli could hand Tomori his first appearance in their Serie A fixture against Atalanta or save him for the Milan derby with Inter in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

Milan currently lead Serie A with four points ahead of Inter and Tomori could help one of Italy's oldest club wrestle the title away from dominant Juventus this season.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that FIkayo Tomori may be sent on loan this transfer window according to Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

The 23-year-old defender fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Thiago Silva in the summer and has managed just one Premier League appearance this campaign.

While at other times, he could not even make the matchday squad and he has been linked with a move to top Premier League clubs.

Tomori was in action for about 10 minutes for the London club in their 4-0 win over Morecambe in the FA Cup over the weekend.
