Diego Costa has turned down an offer from Turkish giants Trabzonspor, according to reports in Spain, cited on The Sun.
The 32-year-old became a free agent after his contract with Atletico Madrid was terminated by mutual consent.
And the Spain international has been receiving offers from Middle East nations and Turkey.
According to reports from Spain, Costa has rejected a £43,000-a-week contract to sign for the Super Lig side.
It is understood Trabzonspor offered the former Chelsea forward a three-year deal but the wages are three times behind what he takes-home at Atletico.
Galatasaray and Besiktas are said to be interested in the controversial striker as well as having another option in Qatar.
Marseille manager Andre Villas-Boas claims he got a call that Costa would love to join the Ligue 1 side but the former Blues boss downplayed a move for the Spaniard.
Villas-Boas the free agent's Atletico salary to have been significantly more than what was reported by Spanish press.
The ex-Spurs boss said:
"First of all, Diego Costa earns 16 million [euros] (£14.3m) gross every year, it's the first thing that we should recognise.
“I received a WhatsApp message from an unknown number telling me that Diego Costa wanted to come to OM. I thought it was a joke.”
Costa has been previously linked with a move to Premier League side Wolves after Raul Jimenez fractured his skull suffered month.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Diego Costa is no more a player of La Liga side Atletico Madrid after both club and player accepted the termination of his deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Spanish striker who returned to Rojiblancos in 2018 has not been able to nail a starting shirt since the arrival of Luis Suarez from Barcelona in the summer.
To make matters worse, Portuguese youngster Joao Felix has also been preferred by Diego Simeone as Atletico's supporting striker to Suarez.
