Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 760th career goal in Juventus 2-0 win over Napoli in the Italian Super Cup final on Wednesday night, January 20.

The Portuguese inspired Andrea Pirlo to his first silverware as manager with a 64th minute strike, before Paolo Dybala scored in stoppage-time to seal the win.

Ronaldo’s goal takes him one above Czech legend Josef Biscan to become the greatest goal scorer in the echelons of the game's all-time goalscoring greats.

However, SunSport are reporting that official reports in by FIFA claim Biscan had 805 goals during his career in the 1940-50s, and that Ronaldo still needs 45 to catch up.

Of course there is yet further debate on the issue, with Brazil legend Pele and his former club Santos claiming he scored over 1,000 goals.

Pele still believes he scored more goals than any other player, claiming he had a total of 1,283 strikes - with some not documented.

There are questions on whether these are goals scored in 'official' games, but on Wednesday night in Reggio Emilia, there was no doubt over Ronaldo's personal haul.

The match, showcasing the Serie A and Italian Cup champions, is normally regarded as little more than a friendly.

Ronaldo reached the 760-goal tally in 1040 appearances including the 450 goals for Real Madrid, 118 for Manchester United, 102 for Portugal, 85 for Juventus and five for Sporting Lisbon.

CR7 has now won four titles in Italy since joining Juventus in 2018, with two Serie A titles as well as two Super Cup titles.
