Lady inspires people on social media by growing her own vegetables despite being an amputee

Many locals are taking the leap and going green - with vegetable gardens that is. One such local is a South African woman that has been very busy in her garden growing veggies that have finally started to sprout.

Taking to Facebook's ImStaying, Portia Mkatu shared a highly motivational post about making the decision to grow her own food. Her inspirational post included a picture of her posing proudly with the fruits of her labour - some spinach and peppers.
