Argentina international Facundo Medina who currently plays for Lens has reportedly emerged as the main transfer target for Premier League giants Manchester United.

Manchester United manager Ole Solskjaer is planning to bolster his defence so as to help the Red Devils fight for the Premier League title this season.

Although Medina recently made a return from injury and has been training hard for him to get back to the side's first team.

According to the report on Mirror, Manchester United chiefs are very serious in their approach to land Facundo Medina at Old Trafford and would do everything possible to make sure they get his signature.

The report added that Lens chiefs are not ready to allow Medina to leave the club, but Manchester United are prepared to offer them the chance to still have him until the end of the season.

Medina started his football career at River Plate's youth team, but he was unable to play any match for the first team before he left in 2018.

Since joining Lens last year, the Argentine has been able to play 11 games scoring one goal so far for the side.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Paul Pogba who is a France international currently playing for Manchester United tendered an apology to his teammates for his miss against Liverpool in tough EPL battle.

Despite the fact that Manchester United got a point against Liverpool at Anfield, Ole Solskjaer and his men are still topping the League table.

A defeat would have made the Red Devils drop from the first position and Liverpool would have returned to the summit of the English topflight.

However, Paul Pogba got a vital chance to score which could have given the Old Trafford landlords the win at Anfield, but the former Juventus star was unable to beat goalkeeper Alisson.
