Odion Ighalo who is a Nigerian striker and currently on the books of Manchester United has stated emphatically that he would love to remain at Old Trafford this term in the Premier League.

The contract of the former Watford star at Manchester United will be coming to an end in January 2021 and the Red Devils chiefs have turned their backs on extending his stay.

Years ago, Odion Ighalo used to dream of playing for Manchester United which came true in January 2020 when the Premier League side signed him as a replacement for Rashford who was injured.

Luckily for the Nigerian star, he grabbed the chance to play for Manchester United and scored great goals in the Europa League and also in the Cup games.

Ighalo has however not been finding it easy to play for Manchester United this season in the Premier League and also in other competitions.

The arrival of former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani added more problems for Odion Ighalo at Old Trafford as manager Ole Solskjaer is favouring the Uruguayan for games.

Despite knowing that his deal at Manchester United will come to an end this month, Odion Ighalo explained according to the report on UK Sun that he wants to continue playing in England.

"Today, I’m in Manchester but at the end of the month I don’t know where I’m going to be. If it’s possible I’d like to stay here but if not I have to go.
"I have options. I wait for my agent. He is doing his job and I’m doing mine. At the end of the month, we have to decide what is best and we’ll take it."

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United who are currently topping the Premier League table have confirmed the permanent departure of Dutchman Timothy Fosu-Mensah who has joined Bayer Leverkusen.

Lack of active playing time at Old Trafford forced the 23-year-old player out of Manchester United joining a team occupying third position on the German Bundesliga.

Before Manchester United chiefs decided to sell Fosu-Mensah to Bayer Leverkusen, he had a loan spell at Fulham and Crystal Palace.

So far this season, Fosu-Mensah has been able to play one game for Manchester United in their Premier League opener against his former side Crystal Palace.

His last game for Manchester United was in Champions League defeat against Istanbul Basaksehir which was in November 2020.
