The United States' president-elect, Joe Biden, has reacted to the impeachment of the outgoing president, Donald Trump.

Trump was on Wednesday, January 13, impeached for the second time after he incited his followers to attack the Capitol in an effort to stop the certification of Biden's presidential election win.

Reacting on Wednesday, January 14, Biden noted that after Trump's impeachment by the House of Representatives, the process of removing him from office will continue at the Senate.

The incoming US president expressed hope that the Senate will complete the process of convicting and removing Trump while it also works on other "urgent business of this nation".

Similarly, President Trump has spoken after his second impeachment by the United States' House of Reps.

The US president, however, ignored his impeachment in the speech as he focused only on the violence at the US Capitol.

Trump said he condemned the violence, adding that such an incident does not have a place in the US and in his political movement.
