Nigerian footballer Alex Iwobi scored his first Premier League goal of the season for Everton on Tuesday night, January 12, in their win over Wolves in English topflight game.

Interestingly, the Super Eagles star scored his last Premier League goal four months ago against Wolves before netting against them again.

Everton started this Premier League encounter on an impressive note and it took them only six minutes to get the first goal through Alex Iwobi who was assisted by Lucas Digne.

The hosts came back strongly in the 14th minute and restored parity through Ruben Neves who got a perfect assist from Rayan Ait Nouri.

Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi had another chance to score another goal before the end of the first half, but his shot was blocked.

Michael Keane scored the second goal and the winner for Everton in the 77th minute after benefiting from an assist by Andre Gomes as the match ended 2-1.

Everton are now occupying fourth position on the Premier League table with 32 points after 17 games played so far and they will face Aston Villa in their next encounter.

Manchester United are now topping the Premier League table with 36 points after 17 games played so far and they are three points above Liverpool on second position.
