It appears Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa is just like a lot of youths who have little pleasure in being a part of their family Whatsapp groups.

The radio girl recently took to her page on Twitter with a post in which she expressed her reservations about family Whatsapp groups, especially those with extended family members.

"Family WhatsApp groups are the worst.... especially extended family ones, how did I get here???"

In a different portion of her tweet, the OAP noted that her exit from the group may be considered as pride. She, however, noted that they talk too much on the group.

Fans and followers were spotted in Makinwa’s comment section sharing similar experiences with their family groups on the instant messaging platform.

One follower wrote:

"I abandoned WhatsApp because of those people. My dad even has a WhatsApp group that'll force us to talk to his new wife's kids. Like baba yi shey dandan ni?"

"If family group pass my immediate family count me out. I really don't care what they say as they add me na so i dey commot myself sharp sharp. My mental health is important to me."

A lady also expressed her intentions to leave her extended family Whatsapp group just like the OAP.
