It seems that Joe Biden's administration will experience smooth sailing in the United States' Houses of Congress and the White House.

This is as two politicians, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock defeated their opponent (from the Republican party) who are two incumbent senators in Georgia.

The feats have ensured the Democrat's control of the Senate which has never been in the last six years, CBS News reports.

Moreover, these victories mean that the Democrat will be inching close to assume the majority in the Senate, which in turn means the party will dominate the legislature and the presidency.

This shift will naturally ease processes by which the president-elect will implement his agenda in the next four years.

Quite akin to this, Senator Chuck Schumer, the current minority leader, who will be replacing Senator Mitch McConnell as majority leader, has implied that Biden upon inauguration will have no problem carrying his manifesto with the Democrats by his side.

Senator Schumer said:

"As majority leader, President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris will have a partner who is ready, willing and able to help achieve a forward-looking agenda and deliver help and bold change to the American people."

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Warnock beat Republican's senator Kelly Loeffler in Georgia’s runoff election, becoming the state’s first Black senator and delivering another blow to Georgia’s reputation as a Republican stalwart.

Warnock's victory was a landmark one; he is the first Black senator in Georgia to be elected, who served in the American Civil War on the side of the confederacy.
