Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur eased back to the third position on the Premier League table after beating Leeds United 3-0 at their North London Stadium this weekend.

A goal each from Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, and Toby Alderweireld ensured Spurs bounced back to winning ways for the first time since their victory over Arsenal mid-December.

The triumph was definitely a relief for the Portuguese-born manager who is challenging for the EPL title this term.

However, after his side's first win in the New Year, Mourinho admitted that playing against The Peacocks is not easy as people thought.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United handler further revealed that sixth place Aston Villa have become his favourite team to watch this campaign. He told BT Sport and was quoted by Goal:

“When we played the people who are considered the top six people say easier games are coming but I, of course, don't believe it.
“Leeds are difficult and Aston Villa is my favourite team in the Premier League at the moment. I enjoy watching them, they have good players and are very well-coached. This is up next.”

Spurs face the Villa next in the EPL and he is already thinking towards claiming maximum points against Dean Smith' led side. He added:

“The three points are very important. I think we understood well how they could hurt us and how we could hurt them. In that aspect I am happy but I still think we can and have to do better.”

Meanwhile, Mourinho's men have EFL Cup and FA Cup assignments against Brentford and Marine before their next EPL outing.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Tottenham Hotspur star Sergio Reguilon has revealed his manager, Jose Mourinho, gave him a cooked suckling pig for him to celebrate Christmas.

The Portuguese coach decided to make the pig available for the 24-year-old Spaniard as Mourinho knew he was spending the big day alone inside his house.

This will be the second time so far this season in the Premier League that Jose Mourinho will be giving Sergio Reguilon a slab of meat.
