Eberechi Eze scored a contender for goal-of-the-season during Crystal Palace's 2-0 win over Sheffield United at Selhurst Park.

The British-born Nigerian was kept on the bench by Roy Hodgson but came in and produced a moment of brilliance just before half-time.

The Eagles had gone ahead through Jeffery Schlupp in the fourth minute of the match but was substituted for Eze after picking up an injury.

And in the sixth minute of time added in the first half, the 22-year-old picked up the ball from his own half and dribbled past two Sheffield players before side-footing the ball into the net from outside the 18-yard box.

The former Queens Park Rangers' midfielder made the move look so easy and the finishing was exquisite with Aaron Ramsdale's out-stretched hand unable to reach the ball.

It was Eze's second Premier League goal in his debut season in the English topflight division following his €16million summer move from QPR.

Palace are now 14th on the table with six wins, four draws and seven losses in the 2020-21 season.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Austin Okocha has finally given his version of his story regarding the failed buisness venture with Friday Nwankwo-Kujah also known as Soccer Ambassador.

Kujah had accused the former Super Eagles captain and his wife Nkechi of illegally taking over a Bureau de change business which he claims they jointly owned.

However, Okocha has given his own side of the story claiming he funded the business with thousands of dollars and pulled out when it was not making profit as expected.
