Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has disclosed that he will finally decide whether to bring in Mesut Ozil to the Premier League squad or not, as soon as the January transfer window ends.

The German midfielder was dropped out of the team’s squads for the Premier League as well as the Europa League.

And following poor run of matches in the English top-flight, there are calls for the ‘assist-master’ to be recalled into the squad when they have the chance to do so.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, it seems unlikely at the moment that he will ever play for the club again.

Arsenal are set to use the January transfer window to try and find a long-term replacement, with Isco and Christian Eriksen both linked.

Arteta who has until the end of January to re-register Ozil for both competitions has stated that he will wait until the transfer window ends. He said, as cited in Mirror:

“We will see what happens in the transfer window and we will assess that at the end. You have to respect the player’s contract,” he continued.
“What you can do is try to be open with them and tell them your intentions, the role they have in the team and why that is.
"At the end, they are entitled to make the decision in their lives because they have a contract here.
“Some would like to move because they are not playing, and some would like to stay.
“At the end that is something we cannot decide.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United are desperate in bolstering their squad and after failing to sign Jack Grealish for £65million in the summer, the Red Devils will now be forced to fork out £100million.

Grealish captained Villa to a 2-1 loss away at the Old Trafford, but he could have been playing against his side should United have taken advantage of signing him during the summer.

According to a report, Manchester United still want the 25-year-old who has scored six times and provided eight assists in 15 games this season.
