Nollywood actor Kunle Afod has taken to his social media page to announce the death of his colleague Eniola Olaniyan's mother.

Afod revealed that the Yoruba actor lost his mum in the early hours of Tuesday, December 29.

The actor prayed for his colleague that God will give him the fortitude to bear the loss. Afod also prayed that Olaniyan's mum would rest in peace.

Olaniyan shared a photo of his late mum to mourn her loss. The actor revealed that the elderly woman was buried on the same day of her death.

Describing his mother as a loving one, the actor stated that they loved her but God loves her more. He then noted that her memory will be cherished forever.

Olaniyan went on to appreciate all his friends who made it to his mum's burial despite the short notice.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that a Nigerian man was left heartbroken after he lost his mum 2 days to Christmas.

A Twitter user called Umaru shared a beautiful photo of his mum and revealed that he watched her pass on at the hospital on the morning of December 23.

According to Umaru, watching her go was the hardest and most horrible thing he has seen in his life.

The post which went viral had several internet users sympathising with him over his loss. Some shared encouraging messages as they prayed for the repose of her soul.

A follower called @_bube told Umaru that his mum would guide and protect him from unseen battles. She then urged him to grieve but also heal too so that he can let her soul go and experience life at the speed of thought.
