- Thomas Tuchel has been relieved of his duties as the team manager of PSG
- The rash decision came hours after the French champions smashed four goals past Racing Strasbourg
- Reports from France have it that the tactician is set to be replaced by Mauricio Pochettino
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has been shown the exit door at the French club on Christmas Eve hours after guiding the Parisians to a 4-0 rout over Racing Strasbourg.
Latest reports from Germany have it that the 47-year-old is set to be replaced by former Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
The decision to part ways with the German manager came hours after the French champions smashed four goals past Racing Strasbourg, which saw them close the gap to Ligue 1 leaders Lyon.
It comes just months after he led the club to the final of the prestigious Champions League, but despite that, he was fired by PSG's sporting director Leonardo.
While PSG haven't quite dominated Ligue 1 like in the previous years, Tuchel managed to come out on top in their awkward Champions League group, which contained RB Leipzig and Manchester United.
He guided the side to a 4-0 rout of Racing Strasbourg before he was informed that his services were no longer needed at the club.
That match was PSG's last before the French Ligue 1 goes on a three-week winter break as they league returns on January 6.
Former Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino is currently the favourite to replace Tuchel in the PSG hot seat while Massimiliano Allegri, who has been out of work since leaving Juventus last year, is also one of the frontrunners for the job.
Real Madrid are also on the trail of former Tottenham Hotspur manager and are considering an exit for Zinedine Zidane.
The Argentine has been out of a job since last November after parting ways with his former Premier League side barely six months after taking them to their first Champions League final.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that after West Brom managed to win just one game in their last 13 Premier League fixtures, team manager Slaven Bilic was relieved of his duties on Wednesday afternoon, December 16.
The 52-year-old tactician was booted out of the club after 18 months in charge, despite returning them to the English top-flight last season.
Bilic saw his side battle to earn a precious point at Manchester City on Tuesday night, December 15, but despite that, he was fired.
